We trekked for nine days to Annapurna Base Camp in April 2017. The tour guide and porters were attentive and excellent. During high season, just make sure all accommodations along the route are booked days beforehand (DON’T DO WALK-IN) otherwise you may have no place to sleep (especially large groups like us).
What happened to us was the tour guide wasn’t sure if we could make the time according to the plan so they just made reservation a day prior. Anyway, the owner seemed apologetic about this and gave us a free van for a day-tour in Kathmandu after we got back.
