My friend and I decided a week before our trip that hiring a guide and porter was going to be our best bet if we wanted to be successful in reaching our goals of hiking to EBC and Kala Pathar. When we found Nepal Alternative Treks and Expeditions we were thrilled and pleased with the immediate response and service we received by manager Tej Gurung. He personally met us at our hotel in Kathmandu and connected us with our guide, Nauser Ghale, prior to our 12 day trek together. I couldn’t be more pleased with the services that were provided to us throughout our trek, for example, Nauser was respectful, honest, knowledge, and attentive to what ever our needs were. Nauser and our porter, Gvon, it only worked well together as seen by keeping in constant communication but worked well with us as well. After our trek was completed we scheduled another last minute trip to the jungle safari in Chitwan and Tej was able to book all reservations and rooms within the hour. Nauser kindly meet us at our hotel the next day to ensure we found our bus and navigate the busy streets of Kathmandu. I would highly recommend going through this company for any of your trekking needs and or scheduling activities while staying in Nepal.
