Manaslu trek experience with Nepal Alternative Treks Expedition (Tej ji and his team) has been one of the most memorable ones. Right from day one, where Tej ji gave the briefing, there was an instant connect with him and his team. Through out, the trek lead (nausher) ensured that all of us were well looked out for. He observed all team members very subtly, understood the strengths and weaknesses of each of us and never left anyone alone. All the porters – Brian, Ram, Raju + Raju, (what stamina!) were total fun, kept us engaged with stories, songs and humor. It was a difficult trek but the entire team made it look like a piece of cake with their constant support and encouragement.
I must say a very special thanks to Nausher and Brian. On the penultimate day, the landscape was covered with unexpected snow from the previous afternoon. My hands froze when we started the trek early morning. Both Nausher and Brian not just helped to revive the cold hands and my senses, but were watching over throughout the day. Probably the most difficult day of the trek, but very well managed by the trek lead and his team.
The finale dinner with and by Tej ji was so warm. It felt like a family gathering and I have come back with a lot of lovely memories and warmth from this entire experience.
