I used the services of Nepal Alternative Treks on Annapurna Circuit trek in Oct 2023. They arranged my permits and provided me a guide cum porter. They also offer a complete package for the trek, but I opted to pay for accommodation, food and transport independently.
Communication with Tej prior to the trek was clear and transparent. He provided me a quote that seemed reasonable and we agreed on the terms. I met Tej when I reached Kathmandu and he handed me my permits and introduced me to my Guide.
Samir, my guide cum porter is a great guy! He was sincere, honest, enthusiastic and cheerful – and having him as a guide greatly lifted my overall trek experience. He’s done this trek many times, as well as add-ons like Tilcho Lake, so he not only knows the route well, but also knows the best lodges to stay and, where feasible, would make bookings a day ahead.
Overall a great experience with Nepal Alternative Treks and I would certainly use their services again.
