Firstly, the trip starts from Pokhara as the city of Lakes, Mt. Machhapuchhre (6993m) will welcome you. From here, the trip heads to Ghandruk on a short drive before starting the trek. Ghandruk, which is the second biggest Gurung village in Nepal. Here, you can enjoy the ethnic culture and traditions of the Gurung people. The first part of the trek takes you to Chhomrong. As you follow the Chhomrong River, the trail heads north to Bamboo village. Then, the trail stretches through Gurung villages and settles at Deurali passing Hinku Cave on the way.
Further, the trek heads to the Machhapuchhre Base Camp with sublime views of the Himalayas. Then, the trail continues west to the Annapurna Base Camp. The final part of the route is a difficult one across moraines and snow. The base camp grants the view of the Annapurna I (8091m) along with other mountains in the Annapurna range. After exploring the base camp, you begin to retrace your path and reach Chhomrong. Then, you head to Jhinu Danda, where you will enjoy the natural hot spring at your last night of trek. Finally, a drive back to Pokhara brings the trip to a close.
