Overview
Firstly, 4 Days Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking starts with a short drive to Nayapul from Pokhara, which is the starting point of the trek. As you follow the Bhurungdi River, you will reach Ulleri. Then, the trail gathers more altitude as you head to Banthanti. Then, the route heads to Ghorepani after trekking through dense rhododendron forest. Ghorepani is a mixed Magar and Gurung village with a fantastic display of ethnic culture and hospitality.
Then, you hike to the Poon Hill viewpoint, situated to the west of the village. The top of the vantage point offers grand views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges along with Gangapurna and Lamjung Himal. Further, you resume the trek and head to Tadapani village. Passing this Gurung village, you trek south to Ghandruk. This Gurung village is one of the biggest Gurung settlements in the country. Here, you can explore the rich Gurung culture and visit numerous heritage sites around the village premises. From here, the trail leads you to Nayapul, and you follow with a drive back to Pokhara.

Enjoy a breakfast overlooking the views of Annapurna I (8091m) and Mt. Machhapuchhre (6997m). Afterward, you’ll prepare for the trek and embark on 2:30 hour long jeep drive through Baglung Highway towards Hile. You will begin walk towards Tirkhedhunga alongside the terraced fields . The trail rises steep uphill along the crossing suspension bridge and waterfall en route to Ulleri. You will then continue ascend to Banthanti. Overnight in Banthanti.

From Banthanti, you’ll begin climbing stone steps leading towards Ghorepani village. Leaving Banthanti, The trail rise uphill towards Nangethanti. Ghorepani, at 2,874 meters, is a Magar village that offers beautiful views of Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, and Annapurna massif. Overnight in Ghorepani.

The day begins with an early morning hike towards the famous view tower at Poon Hill (3210m). Poon Hill, located an hour-long walk from Ghorepani, bring you atop a hill that offers the magnificent panoramic view of the peaks in Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, Nilgiri, Himalchuli, and Dhaulagiri ranges. Enjoy a scenic trek to Poon Hill and experience the mesmerizing sunrise before retracing your path back to Ghorepani village. After enjoying your breakfast, you’ll begin climbing northeast towards Tadapani village. The scenic trek goes past lush Rhododendron forests through Deurali. You will have a tea break and climb Gurung Hill ( 3200m.). You will then walk downhill towards Banthanti village . You will stop there for lunch then walk continue towards Tadapani.

Trek to Ghandruk Village - Drive to Pokhara

Ghandruk is another popular village in the Annapurna region. After breakfast in Tadapani, we start our trek to Ghandruk. Ghandruk is very popular for its Gurung culture and the hospitality of the people. Have a lunch there then you can visit the Gurung Museum in Ghandruk. Likewise, the beautiful view of the village with mountains like Annapurna (8091m) and Machhapuchhre (6997m) in the background is breathtaking. You will embark on jeep towards Pokhara. You will pass by Kimche, Syauli bazzar, Birethanti, Nayapul and Naudanda . Overnight in Pokhara.

You must have your travel insurance with you. So, make sure your travel insurance company has covered all your safety measures. Make sure that the insurance company provides you with every facility. Because it has a lot of benefits during the trek. Therefore, make sure your travel insurance covers your injury, medical expenses, repatriation expenses, rescue mission, loss of property, etc. But, most importantly make sure your travel insurance is not expired. Furthermore, make sure that your Insurance policy has covered your 4000m trekking and adventure policy.
Meals and Accommodation
All meals include Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner during trekking. Likewise, we also provide western and Nepali foods which are very healthy. In addition, the lodges we provide are very secure and comfortable too. In addition, twin sharing lodges during the trek.
Fitness and experience requirements
While trekking through high altitudes you must be physically and mentally fit. Most importantly, you should also not have any blood-related diseases. Furthermore, you should have experience climbing small peaks. Similarly, being confident and passionate about the trek is also important. Furthermore, make sure that you have some knowledge about the conditions of the trek.
Climate and weather
The climate of Nepal is different from time to time. It usually gets hot from May to August and this time is also good for hiking. Similarly, it gets cold and chilly from late November to February.
