Background
In the Myagdi region, Nagi Village is located at a height of 2,300 meters above sea level. From the Parbat district’s Dandakateri, we travel to Nagi. The Internet Village is the name given to the community. After studying in the US, Mahabir Pun was the first to contribute to this isolated community, and it was through his initiative that wireless Internet was made possible. The local community, UNDP/MEDEP, TAAN, and NTB worked together to build the community lodge, which has 10 rooms.
The magnificent mountain views of Dhaulagiri I, II, III, IV, and V, Gurja Peak, Annapurna South, Barah Himal, Nilgiri Himal, and others can be seen from this vantage point. Other tourist destinations in Nagi include the Baraha Temple, organic farming, and papermaking by hand. Another allure for hikers is the Pun Magars’ traditional Sorathi dance.
