You will get spectacular views of Mt. Everest, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, Annapurna, Gaurishankar, Lhotse, Nuptse, Numbur, Sishapangma, Thamserku, and Mera peak while on this hike and from Pikey Peak. The finest times of day to observe and properly appreciate these monoliths are at sunrise and sunset. Several of the most incredible settlements in the area, including Kerung, Pattale, Jhapre, Lamajura, and Junbesi, are traversed along the trail. This is a wonderful chance to interact with people from different castes, including Sherpa, Chhetri, Tamang, and Gurung.

The trip starts in Dhap and goes via the villages of Jhapre, Junbensi, and Phaplu before stopping to appreciate the Tibetan Buddhist Thupten Choling Monastery, where you may hear different ceremonies being performed and sing.

The Pikey Peak Trek is a less popular tourist route that provides an exceptional view of Tibetan Sherpa culture and breathtaking surroundings. The Sherpas are renowned for their warmth and perpetually genuine smiles. Stupas and the ubiquitous, vibrant prayer flags are only two of the many monuments found in the area.

Through verdant valleys and woodlands, the Pikey Peak Trek leads you. From Pikey Peak, the vistas of other imposing, snow-covered mountain ranges, including Kanchenjunga and Dhaulagiri, are breathtaking and a visual feast.

The adventurous trail follows the trip from Dhap, Jhapre, Pikey Peak Base Camp, Loding, Junbesi, Selleri and back to Kathmandu.

Background

The view of the lower Everest region from Pikey Peak, according to Sir Edmund Hillary, is the best in all of Nepal. We tend to agree. The advantage of this little hike is that it’s a little further away from the tall mountains, thus vistas of the Himalaya are much more expansive. In just seven days, you may take in the beauty, learn about Sherpa culture, and tour Kathmandu
