Overview

Another way you can experience this wild world is by 4 wheel drive jeep. By jeep or elephant back, you can go deep into the heart of the park, viewing some of the rare species of flora and fauna. You can also go on foot in to the park escorted by our well-trained naturalist who will interpret to you the concealed secrets of the jungle. You will have a great opportunity to see many species of birds including water fowl, Brahminy ducks, pintails, bar-headed geese, cormorants, woodpeckers, hornbills, peacocks, peahens, florescent, red-headed trogons and many others.

Another activity in the park is the boat/canoe trip down the Rapti and the Narayani Rivers. This is one of the more serene ways to explore the area as float downstream with the river’s flow. On the out skirts of Chitwan you can the Tharu community, and see their artistically decorated thatched huts, their typical dance and how they manage life next to the national park. A Chitwan jungle safari is certainly an adventure that the whole family can enjoy.

Honey Hunting Tour is one of the very adventurous Tours that includes the amazing and surprising scene of Nepal with it. This ancestral job of honey hunting still continues in many remote villages of Nepal while offering high tourism potential. The traditional way of honey hunting is taken as adventure tour in the world. The honey hunters are a tribe of Mongol in Nepal who follow the tradition of honey hunting, a tradition passed down since generations. The honey is taken as the main source of sweets in ancient time when there was no sugar produced. Extracting honey from rock bees that live in steep slope is an age-old tradition of some of the indigenous Nepali communities like Gurungs, Magars and Tamang. Among many mountain cliffs in Nepal, the Marshyangdi valley and the Cliffs in Annapurna region have a notable presence of wild bee which makes hive on the vertical slopes of these cliffs. Hunting cliff honey is a dangerous activity and most of the cliffs are named and remembered by the names of honey hunters who died during honey harvesting.
