Overview
Firstly, we departure to Besisahar from Katmandu and start trek en route common Annapurna Circuit trails. To reach the base camp from Pisang village, the path ascends through sparse wood and pasture to a Kharka at (4,380m) which is considered the best place for setting up the base camp. High Camp is set up at (5,400m) climbing to a shoulder on the South-West Ridge. There will be snow at the high camp from the end of November to the end of March. The well defined ridge leads to the final snow slop which is quite steep and little difficult to reach the summit. Summit of the peak offers truly splendid views of the Annapurna group including Tilicho Peak, Annapurna II and IV, Ghangapurna and the Glacier Dome.
Pisang Peak is indeed a “sightseeing peak. Descent is made on the same route. After a successful summit, we continue our trek to Manang valley and continue further up to Thorong Pedi. We will cross a highest pass of the world, Thorong pass(5415m.) at early morning and will arrive Muktinath, another part of the Annapurna. We descend further down through scenic Jharkot village, Kagbeni, a gate way to Upper Mustang and reach jomsom, a capital of Mustang where a small airstrip has on the bank of Kaligandaki River from where we take an early morning flight back to Pokhara and the trip ends.

After an early breakfast, you hop onto the vehicle that will take you to Besisahar. You drive along the highway and enjoy the scenic views of the lush green hills. From Dumre, you head up to Besisahar. Then, the road starts to get a bit rough. After a long drive of about 6 hours, you finally arrive at Besisahar for the overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, you drive towards Chame today. The ride will take around 5 hours in total, with brief rests in between. The vehicle will take you along the scenic hills. The road trip to Chame is rough and dusty as the roads are not well-made. Enjoying the views of the hills and valleys, you arrive at Chame for the overnight stay.

We trek to Upper pisang. A narrow steep path through a very dense pine forest will bring you to the dramatic curved rock face, rising 1500m from the river. As the trail opens up you will be surrounded by Himalayan Peaks all the way to Pisang. You will have an extra half an hour climb towards a big hill to reach Upper Pisang. We stay there overnight at lodge.

Today we start walking up towards Base camp after a day relax in Upper Pisang. Today is a day to fulfill your dream of Summit on Pisang Peak. From the High Camp, the well defined ridge leads to the final snow slop which is quite steep and more technical to reach the summit. Our Sherpa will fix the rope and lead you to the successful summit of the Pisang peak. After a Successful summit, you will walk down to Base Camp and stay overnight at tent .

Today you will trek to Pisang village and continue trek to Manang village across the riverside. Here, you will notice a contrast with the landscape and vegetation. The cold, dry climate creates a much harsher environment. Incredible views of the towering Himalayan Peaks. Manang is a great Mt. Valley which has a rich customs & tradition and gives you an opportunity to observe a traditional lifestyle of Manangi People (one of the Ethnic Group people of Nepal). We stay there overnight at lodge.

As you leave Manang village, you’ll begin climbing uphill from Tengi village to Ghunsang. Leaving Marsayangdi Valley, the trail starts to climb along with the Jar Sang Khola Valley. Then, you will begin walking past Yak pastures and a scrub of juniper trees.
The trail climbs past an ancient Mani wall towards the small village of Yak Kharka. You will see many ancient monasteries and stupas when you reach the village. There is also a cultural museum. While most trekkers stay at Yak Kharka, you will walk a further 45 minutes to Ledar, where you will rest overnight.

Leaving Ledar, you’ll begin climbing uphill toward Thorong Phedi. The steep trail goes upstream along the Kone River and climbs through the rocky ridges. It is an arduous trek that passes the villages of Tengi and Gunsang. Similarly, you will traverse green pastures where you can see yaks grazing leisurely.
As you approach Thorong Phedi, enjoy the scenic sights of Annapurna Massif and Thorong Peak (6144m). The trek is relatively shorter and takes around 4 hours. Once you reach Thorang Pedi village, you will spend the rest of the day acclimatizing for the upcoming climb of Thorong La Pass.

Trek to Muktinath via Thorong La pas ( 5416m.)

On this day, you will ascend to the trek’s highest point, Thorong La Pass (5416 m). After leaving Thorong Phedi, the trail begins to climb upstream along the Marsayangdi stream. The trail passes through alpine pastures and a suspension bridge. As you approach the pass, the path becomes rugged and rocky. You’ll also encounter thick snow as you approach the top of the pass.
Once at Thorong La Pass, the majestic view of the mountains in the Annapurna and Gangapurna ranges and the desert-like landscape of Mustang will greet you. Mountains as far as Tibet will also be visible from the top. After savoring the view, you’ll begin descending to the other side. You will climb down the rocky ridges to reach the monastic destination of Muktinath Temple. The total trek duration is around 10 hours, and you will rest overnight in Muktinath.

Muktinath is an important pilgrimage place for both Hindus and Buddhists. You will visit a Vishnu Temple and Gompa in morning. The trail today is quite surreal as you trek along a plateau above the Kali Gandaki, the world`s deepest gorge. A short walk to a beutiful village ” Kagbeni ” and stay overnight at lodge.

Fly early morning to Pokhara. You will have wonderful flight to Pokhara as Annapurna and Fishtail will be on left hand side and Dhaulagiri and other snowcapped mountains will be on your right hand side. Transfer to hotel ( Hotel Kausi).

Finally, the trip has come to an end, and you say goodbye to the majestic Annapurna range. After breakfast, you board the tourist bus that will take you back to Kathmandu. The drive through the Prithivi Highway is pleasant as you enjoy the beautiful sceneries of the hills and rivers. By late afternoon, you arrive at hotel.

Best time for the climb
Autumn (September, October, November) and spring (March, April, May) are the finest seasons to go on this walk. Or a trekking journey in Nepal. You will have clear visibility during this time of year to appreciate the surroundings’ splendor. Additionally, you will be able to locate suitable lodging for your stay during this season. The temperature is also reasonable at this time of year. This will enhance your hiking experience and fun.
The difficulty of this climb
This climb is challenging. During this walk, you will have to climb many hills. Some suspension bridges and unpaved roads will be used during your journey. Similar to that, you can have altitude sickness. In addition, this walk lasts for 17 days, which will completely tax your body’s physical and mental capacities. Additionally, this walk will put your endurance to the test. Therefore, be sure that everything goes perfectly for you on the voyage to this location. Due to its terrain and location, this walk may be challenging for a novice hiker. Therefore, try hiking some minor peaks before coming here. But if you do decide to hike here despite your inexperience, we strongly advise hiring a guide.

The climate and weather of Nepal differ from place to place and time to time. Similarly, it’s normally hot during the summer and cold during the winter.
