To start our experience, we will travel in a private vehicle for about 4-5 hours from Pokhara to Galeshwor. We will begin our hike from Galeshwor toward Banskharka at a height of 1,526 meters. The route offers a glimpse into Nepal’s rural way of life as it passes Nepal’s villages and terraced farms. En route, we will cross a suspension bridge and beautiful landscapes over the Kali Gandaki River. You will stay overnight at Banskharka, a Magar village famous for its orange farming.

On this day, you will leave Banskharka and head toward Nagi, which is at a height of 2,320 meters. You can witness vibrant flora and fauna as the trail leads you through deep rhododendrons and oak woods. If you are lucky, you may also catch sight of some rare and endangered wildlife.
After trekking for a while, we will reach Danda Kateri Village. It is a popular trekking stop and offers gorgeous views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. You will continue trekking until you reach Nagi. It is a beautiful Magar Village, and verdant hills surround it. You will spend the night in a Nagi guesthouse.

After breakfast, you will continue your hike to Mohare Danda. The trail enters lovely forests of rhododendrons and pine trees. Similarly, you will gradually ascend to a higher altitude region to Him Pal Pass (3,098 meters). From the mountain pass, you can enjoy breathtaking vistas of the Annapurna range and other surrounding snow peaks. You will continue trekking from the Him Pal Pass while passing by several cascading waterfalls and suspension bridges.
Finally, you will reach Mohare Danda, 3,320 meters above sea level. Mohare Danda lies to the south of the Poon Hill and provides stunning sunrise and sunset views. On clear days, trekkers can get a spectacular view of 28 peaks, from Annapurna to Gauri Shankar range. You will rest overnight at a lodge in Mohare Danda.

Today, you will leave Mohare Danda after breakfast and begin descending. The trail heads into the forests of conifers. You will reach Upper Foolbaari . After descending for a while, you will come across a stream, after which the trail ascends and reach Chitre. After continue walk, finally you reach the beautiful village of Swanta lies at 2,270 meters altitude above sea level. There are around 52 houses in the town, and it offers clear views of Dhaulagiri, Tukuche, Gurja, Chuchura, and other snow-capped peaks.

Today is the highlight of the Mohare Danda and Khopra Muldai View Point Trek. You have two options either to have a day excursion or hike to Dobato .
Option 1
You will take an early hike to the glacial lake of Khayer Barah, which is 4,660 meters high and the trek’s highest point. The trail to the lake is challenging and physically demanding. The high altitude makes the climb more difficult, but the effort is worth it.
The Khayer Barah Lake is sacred to Hindus and has religious and cultural importance. Glaciers of Annapurna I, Annapurna South, and Annapurna Fang form the holy lake. Pilgrims come to offer their prayers to Lord Shiva at the lake. After exploring for a while, you will return to Khopra and stay for another night.
Option 2
You will depart Khopra after breakfast. The destination for the day is Dobato, which sits at a height of 3,420 m. Upon reaching Dobato, you will begin your ascension to Muldai Viewpoint at 3,640 meters. With sweeping views of the Himalayas, including the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges, Muldai Viewpoint offers one of the most breathtaking panoramas in the Annapurna region. After enjoying the view, you will head back to Dobato.

Your journey for 9 Days Mohare Danda and Khopra Muldai View Point Trekking begins with a drive from Pokhara to Galeshwor. The drive takes 4 to 5 hours, and Galeshwor will serve as the starting point of our trek. You will head towards the direction of Banskharka at 1,526 meters elevation. You will pass by picturesque small villages and terrace farms along the way.
From Banskharka, you will head towards Nagi Village (2,320 meters). As you leave Banskharka, the trail enters the thick forest of rhododendrons and pine. When you reach the Danda Kateri village, the mountains get closer. You can get a closer view of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Then, you will continue ascending to Nagi.
Nagi is a beautiful Magar village surrounded by green hills. You will climb uphill to Mohare Danda (3,320 meters) through dense subtropical forests. Then, the scenery changes a little as you get to Him Pal Pass (3,098 meters), which offers gorgeous mountain panorama views. En route, you will cross several bridges and waterfalls to Mohare Danda. The Mohare Danda is famous for its breathtakingly beautiful sunrise and sunset.
The route from Mohare Danda leads you to Phalate or Tikot (2260 meters). You will once again trek on forest trails while passing by tiny towns. Tikot provides one of the best views of Mount Dhaulagiri. From Tikot, you will descend the rhododendron forests to Khibang (2060 meters). Around 800 Pun Magars inhabit the beautiful Khibang village. You will continue your descent for a while before crossing a stream. Then, you will ascend gradually to Swanta (2270 meters).
The trail from Swanta is a steep climb via Dhankharka. En route, you will pass dense woodland, small villages, and farms. Khopra (3,660 meters) is one of the best vantage points, offering gorgeous views of the mountains, valleys, and the world’s deepest gorge, Kali Gandaki Gworld’s Khayre Baraha Lake (4,660 meters), which lies a few hours away. The trail continues to ascend until you reach Dobato (3,420 meters). Your climb to the Muldai Viewpoint (3,640 meters) begins from here. The viewpoint is on top of Muldai Hill. You can enjoy a breathtaking panorama of the Annapurna region from here.
From the viewpoint, you can catch an early sunrise. Then, you will descend the trails through dense forests towards Gandruk (1,940 meters), a picturesque Gurung village. You can also enjoy mountainous views of Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), and Hiuchuli. You will catch a jeep from Ghandruk and drive back to Pokhara, where your trip concludes.
