When to Climb in Nepal?
Without a doubt, Spring and Autumn are the ideal times for climbing in Nepal. However, picking just the right season isn’t enough; climbers should also know about the optimal timing for a successful and safe summit in any climb. Thus, climbers should start their summit day very early in the morning, between 1:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. In the Himalayas, the weather changes rapidly, especially after midday. If you climb early, you have a better chance of reaching the summit and returning before the weather turns bad.
Similarly, at night and early morning, the snow is cold and firm, making it easier and safer to walk on. The sun is very strong in the mountains, and if you climb after sunrise, the sunlight reflects off the snow, which can burn your skin and hurt your eyes. Thus, climbing in the early hours helps you to avoid intense UV exposure. Additionally, you have more energy in the early morning, which makes you feel stronger and more focused, making it an ideal time for climbing in Nepal.

How to Choose the Right Climbing Package for You?
There are numerous options to choose from if you want to go peak climbing in Nepal. Whether you only seek to practice climbing or want to try the hardest of the challenges, you will find the right peak for you. Thus, whatever your experience might be, you will not be disappointed if you try peak climbing in Nepal. Still, choosing a package is about finding the right journey that matches your goals, skills, and experience level. So, here is a guide to help you choose the best expedition for you:
Know Your Experience Level
Considering your experience level is crucial to choosing the right climbing expedition for you. Before choosing a package, conduct thorough research to determine which type of peak climbing is suitable for each climber. Similarly, research properly, distinguishing between beginner-friendly and experienced climbers’ resources. If you are a beginner starting your climbing journey, Island Peak or Mera Peak may be perfect for you, as they involve less technical risk. But if you are experienced and aiming for a more challenging climb, Lobuche East and Chulu West can be a better option.
Know what kind of adventure you want
To choose the ideal package for you, consider the type of adventure you’re looking for, as Nepal boasts numerous peaks that cater to your preferences. If you want a scenic journey with a summit that includes a beautiful trekking route, you can choose Mera Peak. If you prefer a combination of climbing and trekking, choose the Island Peak climbing with EBC trek or other routes. Similarly, if you want a technically challenging climbing peak, go for Chulu West.
Consider the Time you have
Considering the time you have is another essential aspect while choosing a climbing package for you. If you have 2 weeks or less, you can select peaks with short climbs and easy access, including Paldor Peak Climbing and Short Mera Peak Climbing. If you have more than 2 weeks and want to explore more remote areas and immerse yourself in the Himalayan life, you can choose Pisang Peak and other longer climbing routes.
