Traveler Reviews

Dec 2022 How nice to met Tej! We found a warm welcome and helpfulness! As soon as my boyfriend and I arrived in Nepal, he greeted us with beautiful flower garlands. We got to know each other in front of a Nepali tea and Tej managed to understand and organize a perfect tour according to our needs. He introduced us to Amar who turned out to be a knowledgeable and friendly guide who made the experience unique. Amar has a vast knowledge of the area, he got us involved on a route where history and environment merged. We reached the Upper Mustang up to an altitude of 3840m to enjoy the charm of this landscape on the border with Tibet. We travelled long distances by jeep and reached various small villages where we met the local people and spend time with them. We ended our journey in the Chitwan National Park and on the last day we met up Tej again for a dinner organized by him in a typical restaurant. We left Nepal with good memories and we’ll certainly participate in other Nepal Alternative Treks & Expeditions projects!

Dec 2022 Tej quickly planned our trip providing us with the best options. Me and my fiancee wanted to focus on photography and Tej reviewed and adjusted his packages accordingly. His long serving partner Amar Gurung proved to be a reliable and selfless guide willing to fulfill all of ur requests. Together with his we roamed the wild deserted lands of the Upper mustang and visited the Chitwan national park. We would definitely plan our next trip with Nepal alternative treks and Expeditions.

The traditional way of honey hunting is taken as adventure tour in the world. The honey hunters are a tribe of Mongol in Nepal who follow the tradition of honey hunting, a tradition passed down since generations. Extracting honey from rock bees that live in steep slope is an age-old tradition of some of the indigenous Nepali communities like Gurungs, Magars and Tamang. Among many mountain cliffs in Nepal, the Marshyangdi valley and the Cliffs in Annapurna region have a notable presence of wild bee which makes hive on the vertical slopes of these cliffs.
