We traveled in a large group of friends to Annapurna Base Camp for an 11 day trek (adjusted to our comfort in every possible way) with Nepal Alternative Treks and Expeditions (N.A.T.E.). This was undoubtedly my best trekking experience in the Himalayan region owing predominantly to the amazingly good hospitality of the organizing organization ,N.A.T.E and especially its owner Tej Bahadur Gurung who himself joined us as a guide. All support staff (2 guides and a porter per every two trekkers) were super friendly, enthusiastic, flexible at catering to unplanned changes, hard working and most importantly helpful. This is the best hospitality I ever experienced in a trek.

Will be back in Nepal for another trek next year, (hopefully Everest Base Camp). For this, I cannot imagine going with anyone other than N.A.T.E. (The only adjustment needed is to align the dates with my birthday as Mr Gurung threw a gala surprise party in the evening on my birthday in the middle of the trekking schedule which was way beyond my and my friends’ expectations)
