Detailed Itinerary for Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek
Day 01: Drive to Birethanti, and trek to Ulleri (2100m) 4-5 hours walk
We begin the Ghorepani Poon Hill climb at at 8 am from Pokhara, which is the town nearest to the Annapurna Himalaya range, and travel for around two hours by car or jeep to Birethanti. The road from Pokhara to Nayapul is black on top, and the short trip from Nayapul to Birethati is on a dirt road. We stop for lunch at Sudame or Ramghai before continuing our hike to Ulleri (2100m). It is the starting point of the trek.
The first three hours of the hike will be a typical, pleasant stroll before a sharp ascent to Ulleri begins from Tikhedunga. There are reportedly 3000 stone stairs. Stay the night in a lodge. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all included.
Day 02: Trek to Ghorepani Deurali (2850m), 5-6 hours walk
The journey up is a little difficult, but after that, we travel through a lovely forest of rhododendron, oak, and bamboo. We get to bed early because the next day we hike to the summit of Poon Hill. Stay the night in a lodge. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all included.
Day 03: Excursion Poon Hill (3210m) and trek to Tadapani, 5 – 6 hrs walk.
We get ready, leave our warm sleeping bags stuffed with blankets, and hike for around 45 minutes to the summit of Poon Hill (3210m), where we can see the sunrise. The entire Ghorepani Poon Hill trek is built around this view, making the effort to get there worthwhile. One can see different views of the mountain range from this place.Along with some other panoramic views.
After returning down the trail, we eat breakfast at the inn and leave for Tadapani. Stay the night in the resort at Tadapani. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all included.
Day 04: Trek to Landruk, a 5 to 6 hours walk.
To get to Ghandruk, we take a shady wooded path that is followed by terraced fields of potatoes and corn. We have beautiful views of Machhapuchhare, Hiunchuli, and Annapurna South from this location. here, following a lunch break.
We descend to Modi Khola and proceed uphill to Landruk, a significant Gurung community in Nepal. This well-known Gurung settlement features terraces and has beautiful mountain vistas.
Day 05: Trek to Dhampus and drive to Pokhara
From Landruk, take a pleasant trail to Bheri Kharka. Then, quickly ascend to Pritam Deurali and continue on the ridge trail to Pothana, a lovely location with a stunning view of the Annapurna Range.
Finally, descend to Dhampus, where our car will be waiting for you to return to Pokhara’s civilization. Rest and unwind after a five-day hike.
