He is passionate about sharing the natural beauty, culture, and adventure of Nepal with travelers from around the world while ensuring safe, enjoyable, and memorable trekking experiences.
Early Life & Background
Raju was born and raised in Ruby Valley, Dhading, a beautiful hilly village in Bagmati Province of central Nepal, approximately 120 kilometers northwest of Kathmandu in the Ganesh Himal region. Growing up surrounded by mountains and nature inspired his deep connection with trekking and outdoor life from an early age.
After completing his Secondary Education Examination (SEE) at the age of 18, he moved to Kathmandu to continue his higher education and pursue new opportunities in the tourism industry.
Education
Raju completed Higher Secondary level education in Hotel Management from Nepal Rastriya Campus, Kathmandu. His educational background in hospitality has helped him develop strong communication, service, and client-care skills that are essential in the trekking and tourism industry.
Trekking Career Journey
Raju began his trekking career in 2017 as a porter. His very first trekking experience was the Manaslu Circuit Trek in the Manaslu region of northern Nepal. Working as a porter taught him valuable lessons about mountain life, responsibility, teamwork, and endurance.
After working for two trekking seasons, he became a trekking guide in 2020 for selected trekking routes in Nepal. With consistent experience and dedication, he gradually developed into a full-time professional guide; 2022 and 2023 continued strengthening his professional career.
